What is Power Plate?
Power Plate equipment is the premium vibration device powering a new dimension in wellness solutions for all ages, lifestyles and physical abilities. It uses the principal of acceleration training to stimulate the body's natural response to vibration
These vibrations transmit waves of energy throughout the body, activating muscle contractions between 30 & 50 times a second, enhancing overall performance in a much shorter space of time than traditional training.
Benefits for Life
Acceleration Training on Power Plate equipment offers a host of benefits, ranging from an immediate improvement in blood circulation, to a variety of other measurable outcomes: such as increased muscle strength and flexibility, weight loss, improved range of motion, decreased cellulite, increased bone mineral density, reduced pain and soreness and faster recovery.
Time
Can you spare a minute?
It's not called Acceleration Training for nothing. Power Plate workouts are so fast because the whole body vibration triggers more muscle fibres to engage during every exercise. When you set the machine to 30HZ for 30 seconds, and perform an exercise, just imagine how many times your muscles respond to the vibrations...
Movement
A few millimetres go a long way!
When you watch a Power Plate machine, the movement is invincible to the naked eye. Yet the surface is moving a few millimetres, up to 50 times a second. This movement accelerates your mass, to create force by working with gravity. Imagine if you could jump a few millimetres 900 times in 30 seconds...

Power Plate Testimonials
"I have been relatively active throughout my life and maintained a level of fitness through a variety of sports which have acted as a great de-stressor and mood enhancer. However, my overall level of fitness has decreased due to muscle aches and pains that have accompanied my training as I navigate my early 40s!!
I have used Market sports for a number of years now and when Denise suggested that I try a power plate workout, I thought I would give it go, why not??....and I am now very pleased that I did. I have had 13 power plate sessions and even with my relaxed dietary lifestyle I am thrilled with my results. I am stronger and - more importantly – much more flexible than before, and have achieved these results without the strain inherent in pushing heavy weight! My core strength especially has developed beyond any previous expectation, and much of the soreness I used to experience is slowly going.
Denise, I must stress, has been absolutely fantastic....she has consistently pushed and encouraged me to the limit. I would happily recommend Power Plate workouts with Denise to my friends and colleagues and encourage anyone with a genuine interest in physical fitness to put Denise to the test by letting her train you."
"I was looking for a new challenge to further my weight loss programme and improve my fitness without spending endless hours pacing the treadmills when a member of the fitness team recommended the Power Plate as a good method of reaching these goals. I think the most noticeable change for me was how my core strength and core fitness improved allowing me to push myself further in other areas of my training. The sessions were intense, sweaty and hard graft but with the creativity and guidance of the fitness team remained fun. I did drop a few kgs but I was more impressed with how my fitness improved over the period of the course."
Andrew Deaville – Market Sports MemberOn vibration: The Power Plate sceptic turns into a fan
Dear sceptic,
I heard about this thing called Power Plate. These fancy silver-out-of-space-machines; most of the gym members try to steer clear of. My lovely gym had a great Power Plate offer and adventurous and curious as I am (well a bit bored with my training maybe, too), I said: I'll give it a go. Overly ambitious I wanted to do 2 sessions a week, on top of my training. Thank god Gabi, the fitness manager, convinced me to just one session. Apparently 30min on the Power Plate equals 90min working out in the gym. Yeah, right.
Bobby, my Power Plate 'drill instructor' thought from my fit looks, that I am capable of doing the advanced version and off to a walking plank I was. If you manage to do 40 ‘slow' push-ups you feel pretty jelly. Now do this on a bloody vibrating silver torture machine. I was close to collapsing after 60sec. But this was just the first of 15 workouts to follow in this first session. I somehow managed to survive many more push-ups (some I thought never existed), various plank positions, thigh burning lunges with weights, cardio, pulling straps almost out of the machine (biceps) a.s.o. Jelly me wobbled back to work to gulp down a protein shake and sweet talk my muscles into please sticking with me for the rest of the day.
Wooha, the next day I was proper sore, literally everywhere in my body. And I had to do it in less than a week's time again. Looking back at 3months of body torture, I became a massive fan of this vibration wonder. I've tried a lot to condition my body but this is superior. You shape and tone up in no time. I improved on my running posture and my upper body gained more strength but without bulking up. I feel much stronger, super fit, my muscles are more balanced and all hours I sweated and fought hard were worth it. If you look for strength and lean muscles in no time: try it! Oh, and wolfing down a toast with Nutella before the workout helps not to look like a complete collapsing idiot...
Yours sincerely, the fan.
