With all that in mind why would we suggest that anyone would ever require a Personal Trainer?
The answer is quite simple, whilst there are many people out there who simply love going to the gym and can’t seem to get enough of it, for the rest of us it is a slightly different story. The vast majority of our members know that a regular exercise programme will have a profound effect on the quality and length of their lives but even so still struggle to keep their motivation going for prolonged periods.
Even when you have a very focused goal such as; looking good for a wedding or your next beach holiday the initial enthusiasm can start to wane a bit. This is where Personal Training comes into its own. It helps by providing structure, results, variety and motivation in a different way from working out on your own.
You’ll start with an initial consultation to assess your current health and fitness level and define in tangible terms what it is you are trying to achieve – weight loss, improved posture, rehabilitation or improved fitness/tone. This gives you a starting point and a benchmark against which your trainer will regularly take measurements to monitor your progress.
Your Personal Trainer will then write a session by session training programme, in each session not only will they motivate and guide you through the designed programme, they will also be casting a professional eye on how you are coping, what you like and don’t like etc. allowing them to tweak the programme when required, not only to ensure that you are getting the best results but that you enjoy the sessions and stay motivated until you have reached your goal.
